About Deckmetric,built by Shepard&Young
Deckmetric is an AI pitch deck analyzer built by Shepard&Young. The methodology, the Shepard&Young Captivate-Validate-Motivate framework and the nine benchmark VC frameworks behind every score, was authored by founder Sebastian Scheplitz and is published in full so you can read the rubric before you upload.
What is Deckmetric, and who built it?
Deckmetric is an AI pitch deck analyzer built by Shepard&Young, a commercial strategy consultancy. The platform scores every uploaded deck across 10 investor frameworks: the proprietary Shepard&Young Captivate-Validate-Motivate (CVM) framework as the headline grade, plus nine benchmark VC frameworks derived from public criteria and materials (Y Combinator, Sequoia, a16z, 500 Global, First Round, Tiger Global, Family Office, Techstars, Antler). The methodology was authored by founder Sebastian Scheplitz and is published in full on the methodology page so founders can read the rubric before they upload.

Our mission
Bring the quality of pitch deck feedback that top accelerator partners give in private to every founder, on demand. Make the scoring rubric visible. Make the investor-fit logic transparent. Cut the iteration time from weeks of warm intros to a single afternoon of structured rewriting.
Deckmetric exists because the same pattern kept appearing in every advisory engagement: founders had no idea how investors were actually scoring their pitch, and most generic deck feedback failed to explain which fund types they were a fit for. We encoded the diagnostic Shepard&Young had been running privately into a scoring engine and made the rubric public.
Who Shepard&Young is
Shepard&Young is the commercial strategy consultancy Sebastian Scheplitz runs. One claim: Narrative x Positioning x Monetization. Four practices, Positioning and Narrative, Offer and Monetization, Markets and Expansion, and Commercial Leadership, each aimed at a different growth lever in a company where revenue has stalled. He built and sold two companies, advises across Europe, the Gulf and Asia, and has reviewed 350+ pitch decks from operator and advisor seats.
Our methodology is public, not a black box
The CVM framework, its weighted dimensions, the evidence and failure patterns we score against, and the four-stage extraction → classification → scoring → recommendation pipeline are all published. Every framework is documented with its own dedicated page so you can read the criteria, weighting, and red flags before you upload.
Read the full Deckmetric methodologyWhat we don’t do
We do not sell your data. We do not use your deck for training, it is processed under contract with Anthropic via the Claude API, whose commercial terms prohibit training on API inputs. Full sub-processor list and retention details on /trust.
We do not give vague feedback, every score is tied to a published rubric. And we do not pretend to predict whether you will get funded. We tell you how each investor archetype is most likely to read the deck you have today.
